Orthodox medicine
Good health is only taken for granted until complaints make us aware of its absence.
In my opinion, an education in orthodox medicine is a prerequisite for the practice of complementary medicine. Only then can you claim to aspire to holiatry. Austrian legislation, particularly that governing education in acupuncture, homeopathy, Chinese pharmacology and other related areas, has allowed the country to play a leading role in this field. From my own experience in teaching I know that the Austrian system is the envy of many European countries.
